You must understand, the wax and fragrance oils need time to bind and bond together. Typical cure time for candles range between 1 - 14 days after pour, depending on the wax used. Soy wax in particular, is between 7 - 14 days. The reason for this is to achieve optimum hot scent throw (how well the candle smells when burning). The wax also needs to settle and harden. So, if you light your candle before 7 days from the pour date, not only will it stunt the scent of your candle when burning it will lessen the burn time - affecting the overall performance of your candle.
